I was especially intrigued with the damaged stucco walls seen all over buildings in Venice and set out to create a material that would allow for me to mimic the shapes that can be seen on the degrading walls. 

Using only the red channel I was able to blend the three materials together and have it procedurally place the chip damage information along the edge. Sliders also allowed for further customization of the material including defining how much the cracked raw stucco creeps into the pigmented top layer.
